Not everyone gets to experience living in the country or growing up on a farm. The land stretches out with row crops or livestock hiding in the trees to beat the heat. The excitement of the harvest every year and a sense of accomplishment when the silos are full to the brim. Hay is all put up for the winter. Country living is a lot more then raising food for America and beyond. It’s a culture and a way of life. Every neighbor knows each other and is always there when you need a hand. This abstract painting is a memory of myself growing up on the farm. The things I’ve learned are priceless to most. We never hired anything done, we learned it. Roads leading to the neighborhood, driving the fields to see how the crops are doing, and checking on herds to be sure everything is OK.
